Hi everyone!

I decided to make a new blog specifically for my background art and design. The other blog will be used for the rest of my artwork, sculptures, painting, etc. My blog was starting to get confusing since my main focus is background and layout design.

This is going to be a night scene. Lighting for this background will be from the moon and lanterns that are hanging from the trees. 

Mayor's Office

I'm in the process of sketching out all the environments from a short story some friends and I wrote. This is a  a sketch of a characters office. I'm sketching out 10 more then I will be picking the 5 most interesting ones and painting them as backgrounds.

WIP- waterfalls- update

I finally started to add some light to the piece. I am adding some highlights and rays of light peaking from behind the foreground trees to brighten things up more. The textures are also not done yet. Any other suggestions?  

Ali Baba's Dining Room

I read the story Alibaba and he forty thieves and drew an animation background for it. This is the dining room where Alibaba has dinner with his wife. The background style was inspired by the Emperors New Groove.
